New year, new you? Probably!
Spirit tells me this is a year of growth and change. Something on my inside is grimacing and tentatively saying, “Yaaaaaayyyy….?” But I know it needs to happen, for all of humanity, and it is going to whether we are onboard or not. So let’s jump onboard together and try to enjoy the ride, which it appears we will be on for a while. The change feels slow but sure. Small steps are OK right now. I do not feel the universe is signaling a sense of urgency, just a willingness to go with the flow.
One thing we all definitely need to be aware of is that the energy for this year feels very slippery or in flux. It is a year of twists and turns. That is on purpose. The universe is switching things up so we have to pivot. Change promotes growth. Try to make decisions for your highest and best with the information at hand. That is all you can really do. Please realize that new information will likely come to light and therefore you will need to make choices, stand firm or change the plan. Examples:
*Interest rates adjust and you change your mind on a home transaction
*Unexpected weather upends your vacation plans
*You hope to buy a new car in two years but your engine dies tomorrow
I suspect if you stand firm, things will become increasingly more uncomfortable. Going with the flow is the best course of action. Remember, you always have free will.
Growth and change can be scary, like labor pains. But they can also be exciting, like the birth of a new baby. You might feel all of these things this year, and that is OK. It is what happens when growth is taking place. If you reflect on some big events in your life, you probably had a range of emotions. That is what this year feels like in a nutshell. A flexible mindset will be your best ally.
If you haven’t already, this is definitely the time to rid yourself of old, unuseful baggage. We just are not going to have the time or energy to keep holding onto that which doesn’t serve us as the year progresses. Whether actual objects, grievances, or feelings of guilt, embarrassment, regret, etc. this is the time to release. If you are still holding onto these, it is likely because they were serving a purpose. You were learning from holding on and examining. Thank whatever it is for teaching you the lessons you needed, and let it go. Examples:
*Thank you for teaching me what to truly value in a friend. I forgive your actions and therefore am no longer held back by negativity.
*Thank you fear/ anxiety. I now realize that I am safe and protected. There is no reason for me to be afraid of XYZ any longer.
*Thank you possessions for bringing me comfort. Memories/ photos will serve as a reminder of the peace you brought to my life.

*Laughing
*Addressing health concerns
*Spending time in nature
*Being creative
*Meditation
*Yoga
*Positive affirmations
*Take small steps (clear out 5 unuseful objects a day for a week)
Remember that you are releasing what no longer serves you now so that new energy may come in. If the universe has taught me anything, it is that it has plans for each of us whether we approve or not. Our response dictates how comfortable the path ahead will be.
We are all here on Earth at this particular time because… we picked it! We chose to be here, to be a part of this great mind shift and energetic change that is transforming humankind. Humanity is learning to lead with their hearts, not just brawn or brain. So pause, take a breath, and treat yourself and others with care. We are all precious cargo on this journey!
